Cabin Fever

"I got cabin fever it's buying in my brain. I've got cabin fever it's driving me insane. We got cabin fever, we're flipping our bandanas. Been stuck at sea so long we have simply gone bananas."

Have you seen the Muppet's Treasure Island? Those are the lyrics in a silly song about cabin fever....but it is oh so relatable right now. I have a bad case of cabin fever. I need to get out of this room! But, again, doctor's orders are still in effect. My hubby and his sister won't even let me see my little one that often. Am I a bad mother or something?? Maybe I wouldn't be a bad mother if I was allowed to see my dear babe once in a while. Oh well, I'll get better soon. I hope.

In case you've never seen the movie, here's a clip of the Cabin Fever song if you want a laugh.

Yellow, yellow, YELLOW!!

All I see is yellow, yellow, yellow. All. Day. Long. It wasn't that bad at first. Ok, that's a lie. It was bad. But I told myself--I tried to convince myself--that it wasn't all that bad. I mean I had those windows to look out and see all those lovely things. But that wallpaper is really making me sick. I decided to go on pinterest to find some more decent looking wallpaper.

And then, while I was at it I looked at some other home decor.
Such pretty things.

I showed my hubby...he just kinda laughed. He said we can't redo the whole house that we're staying in just so we can live in it for three weeks. Besides, its a rental, he told me. Well, I personally think the owners would be very happy if I made these interior decorating changes.

The View From Up Here

Remember when I told you that we're staying up in the attic room of that old estate? (Well, it's actually the nursery but moving on...) The view from those windows is absolutely gorgeous!! I can't get enough of it. I could sit by the window all day and just stare. And that's all I really can do. I'm still supposed to be getting R&R--it's doctor's orders (thanks for looking out for me dear!). So for now I will rest, relax and admire the view from up here.

My favorite part of the gardens.
The private wharf on the property. Isn't it adorable?

More of the gardens...love these huge old-fashioned flowers.

We're Here!!

We just arrived at our vacation destination. It is gorgeous here. It reminds me of all those places in England that I want to travel to someday (hopefully I get better soon so I can). Here's a picture of the exterior of the house...gorgeous, isn't it? And see those little teeny windows at the roofline? That's where the hubby and I are staying. I know, I know. It looks like the attic. What kind of a vacation is that, do you ask? Actually I like the room. It's very spacious and has lots of windows. The only thing that I don't like about it is the wallpaper. Ugh. It's awful. I took a picture to prove it to you.
I know, I have to deal with this yellow atrocity for three weeks. Pray for me!
